A couple of years ago I started this blog, I called it Hey You. I called it Hey You because I have a tendency to yell that at people when I can’t get their attention with their names.  The purpose for my blog originally was to try and get people to notice my books more and hopefully get some book sales.

My blog quickly became more then that for me. It became a way for me to get my thoughts and feelings out on different subjects. It became a way for me to express myself and meet other bloggers in the process. It wasn’t something I expected to happen, but I’m glad it did.

My blog has allowed me to share my thoughts on being a mom and loosing my mom to cancer. It has allowed me to share my thought on different topics like makeup and what to where. It even gave me the opportunity to get my feelings out about my husband’s heart attack and how it effected us.

About a year ago I came up with an idea to turn some of my blog posts into a book. I wanted the book to look just like my blog. Problem was I couldn’t figure out how to do that. So I decided to hold off on that idea. Sometime after that when I would talk to people about reading my blog they would tell me “I would read your blog, but I hardly ever go on the Internet”.  I thought well there goes that reader.

About a month ago I decided it was time to make that blog book. I thought this would be a good way for people to read my blog who don’t like to go on the Internet. So I started searching through all my post to see which posts would be good for the book. Turned out I had more posts then I realized and became excited about this new book. I also decided to make it look simple like my other two books.

So I got all the posts together that I wanted. I put them in my Google documents and the process began. After I got all the posts I wanted along with their titles and pictures, my husband helped me make sure everything was on the right pages. As he was doing that I looked for green or red squiggly lines. Those lines let me know something was spelled wrong. After we were all done with the formatting my husband made the book cover for me. Once that was done and we looked at everything we were ready to get a proof copy made through Create Space on Amazon.

We received the proof copy of my blogs book on Saturday which by the way I titled — Posts From the Blog Hey You — we did see a few errors which we will be taking care of this week. After that the book will be ready and will be available for preorder.

I am looking forward to getting my third book published. And I am hoping people will enjoy it.
