I Love the smell of new tires!
When I was a kid my mom worked part time at a tire place. When I became a teenager she went from part time to full time at that place. When ever I had a day off from school or in the Summer time I would go to where she worked. At the time this tire place was Called Northeastern Tires. Sometimes I would go in the afternoon. Sometimes I would get up early in the morning and go with my mom.
When I was little I would just sit around and watch people work. When I was a teenager I was allowed to help out a little by answering the phone or give messages to different people. There would always be a time when I needed to walk through the area where they kept all their new tires. I loved walking through that area. I loved being able to smell those new tires. I don’t know why I liked the smell,but I did. Maybe it was because of all the good memories I was making.
The owners of this tire place were not only my mom’s boss but they were our neighbors. Literally they only lived two doors down from us. They were always very nice to my family and I must say I miss them very much.
Till this day I absolutely love the smell of new tires! It brings back such great memories! You might find it strange for me a girl to love the smell of new tires. That’s okay you can think that strange of me all you want. There really is nothing quite like that smell! 🙂
