Christmas Stockings
Growing up my family didn’t do Christmas Stockings. Couldn’t tell you why cause I have no idea. My guess would be my parents never thought to do them. Or it’s possible because we always had a big Christmas Eve celebration with my dad’s family. There were always lots of presents for us kids that night.
So when my husband suggested we do them on our first Christmas together I was surprised. Christmas stockings is something his family did growing up. It sounded like a lot of fun. So I thought, why not.
We have done them every year now for the past 19 years. We even did them a couple of times with my parents. It was a lot of fun seeing the surprised looks on my parents faces the first time we did the stockings with them. Especially my mom. The look on her face was priceless.
We always try to put new things in the stockings, but one thing that always seems to be a must is chocolate.
